Legend LX - coordinated buys ??

Not in all my many years of light-loving experience (OK, so I registered about 8 months ago) have I ever experienced anything like the commotion over this torch. People are crazy-for-it.
Putting self-interest well away ...... (in my case, 10,000 kilometres away ! )
and gathering my courage in both respectable receptacles ......

As Tater Rocket public-spiritedly said, quote - " But it seems there are plenty who can get it, and plenty who want it, so maybe we could set something up. Or not, you all decide ...... "

Well, no-one decided - nothing happened that I am aware of.

Some people want, some people got access. If you know that your local store has some, then isn't there a way to arrange for this ?
Maybe if people post on availability in "Individual for sale/trade" would be the simplest.
Then arrange to use PayPal, or pay however is suitable.
Especially if there isn't a store nearby your city or state.

[BTW, my American flashlighting friends - (you know who you are) the first of you to offer me two (2) LX's will receive - the cash and my nearly-eternal gratitude. Plus a British "nice cup of tea", sent Airmail ...... ]

The Legendary LX won't be an adequate replacement for the 9P or M6 or 10X, etc. - will it ?
I mean, it certainly seems very good value for money, but it's still only a 2x 123.
And the question of it's durability/longevity has to be answered yet.
I would really like to know the bulb's burntime and shock resistance.
Is there any back-up service like SF offer ?

Just that even a great value ~65 Lumen won't put me off buying an 8AX for instance.

If it shakes up the market, all well and good, but one torch won't put SureFire in the shade. (And Streamlight, etc.)

I don't think this light (from what I've seen here, I don't have one yet

) will put SF out of business or overshadow their "tactical" flashlight business, BUT it does jeopardize their "casual buyer" market share. Brinkmann has made the small, bright, quality beam output lithium lights available to the "casual buyer" by producing such lights at low cost ($20 - $30 INCLUDING lithium batteries).

Sure, the LX isn't the super-duper heavy duty shockproof lights that SFs are. Common users don't need this kind of light. Sure the LX doesn't have a perfect beam, but it is very good! This will no doubt have an effect on their E1, E2 and Nitrolon sales, especially to buyers "on the fence" due to the price. I was considering the Nitrolon but at $65, I can buy 2-3 Brinkmanns!

Hey, a little competition never hurt everyone! Maybe the high end manufactureres will get the hint that they no longer have an exclusive market share and start lowering their prices so their "casual user" lights are more obtainable by the normal person.

There are still 2 at our walmart. One of which I hid behind the nextar flashlight so I would have at least one to offer you all. I am willing to sell or trade. It would be something like $21.50 plus shipping or instead of cash,I'd be willing to trade for some SF 123 batts. I need some good batts, so I could trade say 8 batts and I'd pay shipping (wouldn't be first class UPS or anything though)or something like that. Or just a few batts and a few dollars, or whatever. Or if nobody needs it or has the cash, whatever. It's not as if I have already bought them anticipating a sale. If anybody is interested, I would rather trade for a few batts but would also just take the at-cost cash.

I would love to buy a Legend LX, but i live in Europe so i guess it's impossible

After doing a lot of research I have found Streamlight, Surefire and Longlight distributors in Scandinavia. That's a comfort

But the prices are unbelievable

If anyone would care to send me a Legend LX I would be extremely greatful. I will pay in advance of course, so the only one risking money is me

Hey... I want one too!

Anyone near a Walmart with that light let's work this out.
