I set up a web page with some info on converting a dual 18650 battery charger to be able to charge multiple 18650 battery packs.

Note that the batteries must all be in parallel so you still have a 3.6 volt battery pack.

I use the multiple 18650 battery packs for my LED bike lights.

Just in case others are interested in making a cheap charger to charge packs.

More info here.

Nice mod! :twothumbs

I Notice that the positive lead of 'charger 1' crosses the high voltage PCB tracks. Probably nothing will go wrong when you do that, but...

I Did something similar:

Notice both positive leads go around the low voltage side of the PCB. Maybe I am a bit over-cautious...

Hey nice job on your conversion! I like it.

I made sure nothing but insulation crossed any other taces.

Probably would not hurt to add a small piece of heat shrink tubing near the solder points on the board for some extra insurance.

Nice, I did a much less refined method. Soldered leads to postive and negative connections and sent them out to my disconnectable battery pack. Only problem is that I can't use that slot for 18650s any more as the soldered connections make it too tight.

It's pretty easy to go inside and solder wires there.

That way, you can still use the slots on the front for charging individual 18650's.
