I just picked up the Radio-Shack model #63-1166 Keychain Remote Control. It works either the TV or the Cable Box, it has ON-OFF, Channel Up, Channel Down, Vol +, and Vol -. It's a very cool little toy I took off the keychain part and put a lanyard on it, I hang it around my neck when I'm laying on the couch so it's always there even when I'm passed out. The only thing is if you buy one it has an intermittent button operation problem because they didn't solder the channel up-down and vol+,- buttons to the circuit board but after soldering these it works great!

If it will turn on my flashlight I'll buy one. It should make it easier to find a light. Of course if it turned them all on, I could be in trouble.

New LS 4/5 feature?
That would give new meaning to the 'find me' feature.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

MY flashlight has a remote! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/poke2.gif

I have a casio watch-remote i've worn for about a year... it's fun going to friends houses and messing with their TVs while they wonder what the heck is going on...also fun in stores changing all them tv's at once =)

eluminator,

5 years ago I made a remote controlled flashlight for a guy who owns a lake (abandon limestone quarry) we would swim at night and all I had then was 2 AA cell Tekna light. The lake is only about 70ft. deep or so at the deepest parts. I made a 20 Watt halogen gel cell dive light from ABS plastic and everyone want to play with it. To make a long story short he has a floating dock in the midddle of the lake so I made four 20 watt halogen lights that point out from the four corners of the dock submerged 6ft bellow that are hooked to a car battery on top of the dock. The lights are turned on and off by a small keychain remote control from the shore. Looks cool at night also when 3ft long lake trout that are like pets swim around you, it's still a little scary to me after all these years when they circle and bump into you to let you know they want fed!

the shack used to make a '7in1' learning remote that has an rf transmitter built in, compatable with the X10 'home control' system. I have one & it's pretty cool to dim the lights just after starting a dvd for that movie theater effect. Plus the keys light up, yet another led toy. Dispite their notorious mini-camera banner ads, X10 is cool. Most home control systems are actually X10 compatable, and cheaper than RS.

Blue Tooth enabled LS!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif That just made me realize that I haven't seen an X-10 pop-up for over a year. Must mean that "no pop-ups" option works. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif (And yes, the X-10 stuff is actually pretty good.)
