How much of a problem would it be with most flashlights to use say two CR123A rechargeables (like the one's available from Zbattery.com) that run at 3.6v rather than 3v? For example, I have a Pila GL2 which takes two C123's and has a 6v bulb - it is likely to damage the bulb to use two of these rechargeables that would total 7.2v on a fresh charge? Or would it just reduce the lifetime of the bulb?

The 7.2v (give or take) will kill the 6v bulb, depending on the bulb and batteries it would make a nice combo when used with a 9v bulb.
