CR2 batts on a WF-139?

I have a rechargeable CR2 cell that I'm trying to use with this charger. I've opened it up and modded it so that the CR123 channels now work (and have confirmed that they do) but when I put the CR2 with magnetic spacers in it doesn't charge.

Have you dropped the current? If it's a protected cell, it is possible that the protection device is not happy with the amount of current coming in. 450mA is too high for a 350mAh cell.
