Thanks for the info Ledean! Another question, will it accept the McR-20 since the heads will be bored to accept 20mm reflectors?

The head can be bored to accept the Mcr-20 as well .

they look great! runtime? 3ledbulb/tailcapswitch drop in possible??

Thanks
The minimag bulb can be replaced with a three led drop in without any problem.
The tailcap switch fits perfectly.
You need runtime on which setup ? .

The CR2 minimag can be run on the minimag bulb which comes with the flashlight
and it will be a little brighter than the regular minimag running on alkalines cause it will run on a lithium battery which is 3.7 v.

WIth the led on.

This 3 led light has a good flood which is much better than the regular mag bulb.

This is a great upgrade and cheap.
I have used RCr2 rechargable li-ion battery and runtime is like 70 minutes . It My Rcr2 has been abused so runtime could be longer.
Batteries for Rcr2 like 5.00 where as a regular pair of non rechargable costs 10.00.
It works well even without the tailcap switch.

Here is a review.

I would recommend this upgrade as it is cheap and you will have a keychain light with a lot of flood.
