My Craftsman Mini light keeps burning out it's bulb every couple of days. Brought it back to sears and got another but has the same problem. It's a xenon bulb. Any ideas? It uses 2 aa's. Is there a cool led mod that would work with it? Severe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Severe, this is a simple and easy "mod" for your light,

that puts an Opalec Newbeam in it with little work.

I'm sure it could be done with even less work, it's just that I tend to make
things more or less bulletproof as a matter of course.

Here's a link to the original thread, and there are some links to a related
Luxion conversion in it IIRC.

P.S. Image lighting provided by Arc LS ...

Thanks thomas for the great feedback. I took a look at the beam shot of thr new beam and I guess I was not real impressed with the amount of light it gives off. The kypton bulb was much brighter but kept burning out. Might you have a clue why this bulb keeps dieing every few days?could it be a missmatch with the power available?
