Hello!
Can you please tell me what you think about this flashlight? [eBay link removed - DM51] Is it possible to achieve 500 lm using only one 18650 or is the seller lying? I was planing on using it for my bike. Do I have a reason to be suspicious about this?
Thank you!

Beamshots ... Dual XP-G R5 is right on about 500 Out the front lumen

The next one is a single Xp-G R5 [ 1.4A driver ] and over 300OTF

Next one is a XR-E R2 at about 1A or around 200Lumen ..

You probably want sustainable output , and decent flood to see in front of you , not 70 yards in front of you . I dont know ?

I would suggest a decent XP-G R5 set up , or a SSC P7 , and run it on medium .
But hey , we want what we want .. :candle:

Yes, I need it to light the way ahead so that I don't have to drive 5 mph being afraid I'll hit some rock or branch. Can you tell me would this ssc p7 900 lumen you mentioned overheat and die if I used it in high mode or is there any other reason not to use it in high mode?

Depending on many variables :

2 Things .... First is you will really run through the juice ...
2nd , the light will get hot , a decent SSC P7 will be very hot after 5 minutes , and thats held in the hand with your body acting as a heatsink ...

Depending on build quality / assembly ... you would really want to trouble shoot the light before use .
