Ok so I've spent the last 1.5 hours perusing the threads and I'm approaching information overload (not easy for me) and I'm still not sure what to do.

This is what I want to know.
I have a Fenix L2D (purchased as a helmet mount for mountainbiking) that I am very impressed with, so impressed that I want to purchase two more flashlights with Cree emitters to mount on the handlebars of my bike for night riding. I was about ready to place an order today but started wondering (my wife hates it when I do that). Is there another option, similarly priced, that would produce a wider beam pattern than the L2D?

Princeton Tec EOS for bike + SSC P4 emitter + IMS 17mm reflector = light, fast, cheap!

Try the elektrolumens sections as well. Wayne had a couple of bike lights that were crazy bright. Here's one off hand that he's selling.
