First, I did a Google and CPF search, and found nothing clearly explained. I went on CREE's pdf... they gave me a black/white chart with x,y coordinates.

What is the difference between bins of white? WC WG WD, etc.

Could you explain what the codes mean, and how much of a real difference there is?

Do they show you the color temperature of each bin? If you search for that, you may get a better feel for things. For example, if you know what the color temp (Kelvin?) of daylight is, then you can get the matching bin. You know incandescent makes an orange glow and florescent makes a different kind of color. Just an idea.

This is always a helpful post. Look under the Cree cool white image. That said, I can't really translate what these charts indicate and what the tints look like to my eye. Personally, I just look for beamshots of particular tints and try to gauge their colors from those. Good luck!
