I just received a timely response to a cree sample request.
Notice the submit date.
If the rep ever does call ??? I’m going to shame him into sending me some XM-L samples

Thank you for your interest in Cree's industry-leading LEDs! Your recent web sample request was approved.

Part : XPE

A Cree representative will follow up with you in a few weeks.:crackup:I hope I'm still alive

You beat me by a year, but I still haven't gotten my kit.

I got my XP-E samples like a week after filling that out but no one ever contacted me afterwards...

My very first LED was an XP-E P2 7C (maybe a p3, can't remember for sure).

It was a sample from Cree, the only part I've ever requested a sample for. I received it shortly after.

I too received an email saying my sample request was being processed. They probably just moved to new inventory software, perhaps this is just a result of importing sample requests that have already been fulfilled.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not hoping for another nice LED...

We were able to buy the XPG LEDs before we were sent
our sample request. And this was after the San Diego
Cree field salesman had visited us where we manufacture
our line of lights. Same thing with the XML.

He did send us 10 RED XPE LEDs to try out. This was about
three months before the XPG was to be released.

So go figure.

Curt
