Hi All.

Just a quick probe into the unknown - does anyone know if the SR96 can be reprogrammed? I know it's on my way as a Christmas gift from my family.


EDIT: As in, can it be DIY programmed by changing the internals? Or has anyone in the forum done it before?

Depending on how the driver is constructed it might be possible to 'hi-jack' the actual driver part by removing the existing controller circuitry. Depends on his its controlled though (PWM, adjustable feedback resistor etc). I know sweet F.A. about this light though so I have no idea.

You're right I know nothing about this light. It's particularly infuriating and tempting - it's just sitting under the tree right now. At one point last night I contemplated sneaking into the wrapping, extricating the light, having a play with it while everyone slept and then resealing the paper at the seams. Hmm.. maybe I'm a bit crazy.

Once I get my hands on it though it will recieve a full inspection, play with and then modification appraisal. The UI is simple and nice though.
