hello
Can anyone from the UK give me some idea of how long Cutters take to deliver, only i ordered some bits about 2 weeks ago and havent even had a confirmation e- mail yet.Is this normal for them?
I understand they have been moving premises, but they`ve had the money and i`d just like to know whats happening( they havent replied to my e-mails either)
cheers
Phil

Hi,
I'm in the UK too. I placed my order eith Cutter on the 23rd of October but still havent recieved my MC-E. I have however recieved several emails from Mark @ Cutter in the meantime though, he is back today/tomorrow and will hopefully be sorting orders ASAP. There is a thread about issues they are having in the Led section of CPF

Paul.

If you need to hire a couple of temps to pack boxes, then you do that. A couple more to answer emails, then you do that as well. It's become popular to use "A perfect storm" as an example, but that fishing boat SANK.
Three weeks with no communication at all is too damned long, and utterly unprofessional.

I'm in the US and having similar problems. Ordered on 10-27, credit card charged, no confirmation e-mail, sporadic communications with Mark, etc. Pretty frustrating.

I`ve had a reply today apologising, and saying it should ship today.Lets see what happens.I`ll keep you posted

It seemed to take quite a while when I dealt with them, there are a few reasonable looking webshops operating from Germany which stock a range of LEDs and optics which I'm going to look at using from now on. Some guys from work have just ordered LEDs to upgrade their Cateye lights so I'll soon know how quickly they process orders, another advantage for UK buyers is no risk of import duty when buying within the EU.

Which shops are they? Do they have websites?

Please let me know if your friends get good service. I'm looking for an alternative also.

This is the place they are trying at the moment to get some P4 LEDs to upgrade a couple of Cateye lights. I'll be back in work later next week so I'll check up on how long the order took to turn up.

Yeah let us know the websites please :)

http://www.leds.de/ and
http://www.led-tech.de/en/index.html

Both show High-bin emitters, but the shipping outside the EU is ungodly. Like same-amount-as-the-emitter ungodly.

http://www.arrownac.com/

Carries MCE's in their broken packaging section.
MCE4WT-A2-0000-000M01 M-bin, WG tint
MCE4WT-A2-0000-000M03 M-bin, Wd tint
MCE4WT-A2-0000-000K03 K-bin, WG tint.

The price for a single emitter is pretty unholy, but it goes down FAST as you buy multiples. They'll ship same day, and shipping cost will be under 10$. I'd bet that people in North America would have their package in hand within 4 days. Of course if you want a reel, they've got you.

The gold standard remains Digi-Key
Order @ 3:30 PST.
Shipping confirmation @ 4:15 PST
On my porch 41.5 hours later.
shipping $2.50
That was a 4$ order.

Are you listening, WELight?

Do they carry MCPCB-mounted Crees? I didn't figure out how to specify this in their "parametric search".

For what it's worth I can't figure out "parametric search" either.
But it looks very much like those Crees are bare emitters only (ie. no MCPCB).

Hi there,

I have also had a bit of a slow start from Cutter for my first order. I think it was due to the fatman being out of stock. Luckily for me I was not in too much of a rush for the parts (I'm offshore for a few weeks).

I did fire off a couple of mails and had couple of sporadic replies but when I phoned them up direct they were most helpful and explained everything I needed to know. I even took the opportunity to add on a cutter MR11 3 way on to the 4 way MR11 that I already had on order.

I'm planning Martins Dynauto Circuit 12 so hopfully everything will come together nicely.

I think I also read on another site that they had a bereavement in the family so that probably helped thing along so much.

I'll maybe post an update of my order when it arrives.

My order last year took 8 months. (to the US) Nothing like ordering the latest bin and having it finally arrive outdated. :(
