Damascus twisty....looks pretty sweet. I'm really tempted, just because of my sheer love of Damascus, and I do love some 1 X 123 twisties!!

LOL....just found this one...I should ahve searched a littel harder....they posted today. Price not too bad. I'm thinking about the "etched" version. Might be a nice dress-up light.

How come they STILL ahven't come out with a flashlight smaller than the battery it uses? I've been asking for it for YEARS! I'll buy 20!!! I'll post the poll.

i dunno about all those processes he talked about but those are some sharp looking lights, i know about damascus knives/swords, but i dunno what the advantage would be in a flashlight, other than looks, and no price listed, but i suspect that hes trying to pass off a cool looking design as something really exotic and a really high price, but thats just my initial cynical assessment, i could be way off lol

I think you are absolutely right, it's just for the bling... but it's really nice !

it is indeed just for the looks. damascus has no other function.. although.. it *is* more durable than aluminum

Damascus is hard to generalize because it only refers to sandwiched metals that make a certain pattern, not the properties or actual metals being used.

I think it is because most of the control IC's have the feature as standard and the manufacturers feel that more buyers will buy the product because it has the feature than wont buy it because of it.
