So I think i've decided i'm spending FAR too much time lurking CPF. I keep looking at more and more lights, and going, oh that's reasonable. First it was a couple of Romisens, then the AKOray k-106... Now I went an ordered a Zebralight h501w headlamp last night for $50.

So I'm all set right? Got a few 1 mode throwers, a good three mode utility EDC light, and a floody headlamp for everything else.

Nope, now i'm drooling over a D10. And an ITP A3. And a Tank007 And ...:broke:

And I've got nobody to complain to about this new addiction but you guys (who probably aren't going to be discouraging me...).

Aw, who'm I kidding - lovecpf

,

Edit: AND a Solarforce L2...

Yeah, you should get away while you still can. Think about being financial responsible, and *cough cough CUSTOMS cough* how lights should be a utility, not just toys...

:D

Man, you're asking the drug dealer to help you quit.

Oh lord, now I've found the knife section too... Now i'm REALLY in trouble...

I once was a victim of CPF myself, I guess I still am, but I've turned into a perp as well.

So, have a look at : Surefire, HDS, Quarks, Dereelight, Fenix, Olight, Nitecore. Once you're into all those, go for McGizmo!

I knew about surefires, quarks, fenixes (fenixi?), olights and nightcores. But after reading a bit about McGizmo, its a little bit scary how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I'm going to stick to "budget" lights that take AAs, I SWEAR!!!

Sounds familiar..

It always starts by getting one or two "nice" lights. Soon you realize neither of them is *quite* right for some purpose, so you get one or two more. Next thing you start buying lights merely because "they look cool"..

Wait until you start collecting Surefires and custom lights... :broke:

If I had a nickel for everytime I've heard or SAID something like that...
I could buy more More MORE lights!

That's what I said.

Now I have more than "budget lights". It's funny when people are shocked you have a Surefire, and are even more amazed at how bright your LED for it is, while retaining a 3-5+ hour battery life!.

I also now use my lathe to make parts for my lights to make em brighter/better. Currently working on a heatsink for an XP-E for my mag, one for my 6P, and another for my M4/M3 lego.

And when you buy the ITP A3 and realize how good it is,you then may buy the A1 and the A2 to complete the trio. :D

I got hooked in the beginning almost with exactly same flashlights.

...and yes, drooling over customs now.
Puddle is getting deeper...

CR123's are calling your name........
I used to say AAA or AA only- NiMH Eneloops, the gateway battery.
Then I dove into Li-IONs recharables and primary 123's...too hard to resist.

I also have to point fingers for spending nearly $1,000 on flashlights in the past 2 months.

Hopefully I can stop now and invest in a shrink to help me with my addiction:devil:.

Oh lord, now I've found the knife section too... Now i'm REALLY in trouble...

I "hear" that there are some very nice small pistols (Ruger LCP, etc) that go well with EDC knives and flashlights......

Tried bladeforums.com yet. :naughty:

It is like crack, I agree, one hit is never enough and you're wanting more and more each time.

Is there and FA.

"Hi, my name is upchuck... and I'm a flashaholic."

"Hello upchuck..."

LOL, yeah man, I've been doing the same thing. Joined the forum a few months ago and already have bought about a dozen lights. My friends think I'm crazy............. ;) .........and they're probably right.

I've been away for about a year. Within 2 days of returning to ask a simple question, I have 4 more lights in the post  Well, 3 because one of them arrived today. Can't wait for the 4sevens mini 123 to arrive, that looks like it was worth coming back for.

@ Sardaukar, a Dune fan? Excellent! :twothumbs

Hopefully we'll all never have just the lights we need. One couldn't really call themselves a flashaholic if that happened.
