Dark spot

The P7 is a multi-die emitter, as the MC-E. They are Build of 4 single dies which form a square. Have a look at this beamshot (first one, scroll down) from a Dereelight with an aspherical lens :

Nothing's like an extreme example to undertand!

The XP-G is a single die emitter, like the XR-E or the XP-E (it's built out of this one in fact). No black hole for these ones, but you can get Cree-rings for free if you want (black rings). I guess you know that an SMO reflector gets you throw with rings and an OP reflector reduces the rings, but the light will lack of throw. Many P7 don't have throw at all.

The SST-50 has a huge hotspot, no black hole, but unfortunately also a ring around that hotspot. There's only one light that exists with it today : Olight M20 Warrior SST50 TITANIUM Limited Edition. Nice light, I love it, and with the OP the ring isn't that big, you also get a diffuser with it, which reduces it to zero.

Get it, before they are sold out!!! :grin2:
