Let me start of by describing my newest light, the Peak Eiger with the medium optic and a red Rebel and the lowest level, level 1. Curt from Peak said it would be 3-4 lumens when I ordered it, but when I got it and turned it on, I was blown away! I don't know how many lumens the Superflash is, but my Eiger gives it a run for it's money in brightness. It must be the optic Peak is using, because I'd definitely say it's 4 lumens or so.
I now use that in addition to my Superflash on my bike, that medium optic is something special, looking directly toward the 2 lights, the Eiger doesn't seem much less intense, now moving to each side and the Superflash's narrow optic beam have a sudden drop of intensity, the Eiger's optic however has a very wide area of maximum intensity followed by a gradual lessening of intensity. That's with an opaque body.
Now imagine everything I described about the Eiger, cut a Superflash in half vertically and combine the 2 then give it the same flash of the Planet Bike Blaze (it's like the Superflash's pattern, but with 1 LED). This would not only be perfect for those who need to remove their lights and keep them in their pockets, but it's lighter weight would also be a plus for anyone to wear on them.
So I would like to know, what do you guys think? If you guys think this would be awesome like I do, I'll send this idea to Planet Bike and see what they think.
