Re: What to get for $25?

I agree with TKL, the TT 1L/2L would be the most 'useful' of the lights since they offer a low and a high mode.

The G2 is a great light, but it is an 'eye scorcher' for close-in work.

Re: What to get for $25?

If whoever gets the light is NOT a CPF viewer, the replacement cost of a set of 123's could put them into sticker shock! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Re: What to get for $25?

I have given this question a lot of thought also. My conclusion was that my non-flashaholic friends would most appreciate an Arc AAA.

Re: What to get for $25?

FNG,

In the past few months I have bought about 5 Arc AAAs on the B/S/T Forum, many of them at $20 shipped, NIP. I believe that's a good deal.

Re: What to get for $25?

i think they are ALL great lights!

but, for a non-flashaholic, i would go LED, with easily available bats. i gave out a bunch of the little dorcy aaa's, and my co-workers love them.

attitude, arc aa/aaa, infininty ultra, etc.

good stuff!!!

Re: What to get for $25?

The Arc AAA would be a great gift for the non-flashaholics. The Infinity Ultra is a good choice too and can be found for about $20 with shipping.

Re: What to get for $25?

I'm giving Arc AAA lights to my entire extended family this weekend (16 in all).

Easy battery supply and simple to EDC. All around great gift.

Re: What to get for $25?

If it`s going to a close family member (you will be responsible for batts and cleaning) the TT 1L could be a great choice. Fits in a purse well and holds up in the glove box. In the hands of a non-flashaholic the batt last a long time.

But the key chain type lights are used the most. Arc would be a fine choice. The SL key-mate is a cuty...the ladies love it...for only $10 bucks its great. The Dorcy AAA led is great for kids or a pocket light...a little big for a key chain though.
