Dereelight NightMaster v2 / X-Searcher ... upgrade pills?

Hey all

I have a Dereelight NightMaster v2 (XR-E pill) and X-Searcher (XM-L pill), both running 2x 18650 via the Dereelight 2MT-M driver. I also have 850nm IR pills and red pills for both. Used to use them for hunting but now have access to other properties which favour driving over walking, so they haven't been used in ages.

I notice that Dereelight has XP-G2 de-domed and XM-L2 pills available for them. Are they much of an upgrade over the original XR-E / XM-L? Alternatively is anyone still modding pills for them?

Apologies for asking what are probably fairly basic questions, but I haven't looked at LEDs since I bought them so am kinda in the dark.

Unrelated, what Ir monocular/binocular do you use?

I have a kit developed by a local Aussie bloke called MIA 'Night Prowler' that sleeves onto the end of my scope. It wasn't quite as easy to use as I'd hoped so it hasn't seen a great deal of use. Again works okay on foot but no good from a vehicle. Almost all my hunting now is done using 12V lights from the back of a ute anyway.
