derrelight dbs v2 3SD versus 18650's arrgh!

I have a derrelight dbs v2 3SD running protected 18650 trustfire and ultrafire batteries. I charge with a pila charger. I have tried not to thrash the batteries

The darn thing always cuts out on high power really quick. Is there a better battery out there that is compatible with the pila charger that will give a decent run time? I would rather not get the extension tube and run two batteries if possible.

Two batteries in series will fry the driver in that module, so I wouldn't try that.

What is the voltage of your battery when it comes off the charger?

Because they sell other modules that can support more than 4.2V. The 3SD isn't one of them. You need a 3SM.
