A few weeks ago, I saw 4-packs of AAA Energizer e2 lithium batteries for about $9 each, but now, all the stores I go to sell them for around $10! Did they e2 lithium batteries go up in price?

Probably just chance between stores and such. Prices for 4-packs around here can vary from $9 to $15. It pays to shop around for the best deal. Best I've found is Sams Club, $20 for a 12-pack of either L91's or L92's

Yep, can't beat Sam's Club for Energizer Lithium batteries.

There were a bunch of surplus ones on CPF a while back but I'd stay away from them. These $.20 things may be a similar deal.

Batterystation.com is selling bulk packed L91's for $1.50 each (qty 20) if that's of any interest. A few other places (thomas-distributing for one) are selling them for around $2/cell in retail packaging (4-packs).

I think L91's are great for some special purpose uses and as a reserve stash (long shelf life), but if you're burning through them in any noticable quantity, consider using nimh rechargeables instead. Nimh has almost as much capacity (for most lights) as lithium, the weight difference isn't that significant in most cases, and you can keep re-using them.

You guys get it easy. L91 cost something like $4 each in Canadia.
