Did some custom work on a Ti single 123 Quark today...

A little ano color, a little carving and a satin finish, came out pretty nice. Doing another one tomorrow, will post pics of it when its done.Pictured with one of my favorite challenge coins....

Thanks for the kind words guys.Also wanted to mention I left the ano color only in the deeper areas because the ano will scratch and wear off very easy in dropped in pocket with other stuff carry:~) Got some cool ideas for the second one, cant wait to start on it, then my Preon if it gets here tomorrow!
 
Very impressive work, what tools did you use to make the engraving?

Iam a custom knifemaker, I use a high speed dental lab air powered handpiece with carbide bits. These spin at 400,000rpm, about ten times faster than most Dremel or Fordham tools. Its the only way to carve/engrave Ti quickly and easily though it still takes time and some practice but its fun too. These really are great lights at a great pricepoint but in my opinion th high polished finish makes the light look cheap....Its just not for me, wait until you see some of the other finishes I can also do to Ti :~) More pics tomorrow...
