I would say the TS10 Triple is suitable inside the 10 yard line, best for indoor distances. The TS10 Single is good for at least double the yardage, even at half the output.. Zero heat issues at these outputs and distances..

The TS10 Triple has a 2 Candela per lumen beam spread.. I dont have the specs on the TS10 Single, but guessing close to HDS focus, 15 Candela per Lumen. That throw comes at the cost of CRI and Tint, but even green tinted cool white LEDs have their advantages, outdoors..

The TS10SG got an LED swap to sw45k:

The SFT25 definitely outthrows the sw45k, while the sw45k in a TS10SG does outthrow a TS10 Triple, just not as dramatically:

Ahh the TS10SG - the light all TS10 lovers wanted with an LED that nobody wanted. Great mods to make it better. 👍

Jon do you have an TS10 Max? I was wondering what the Lumen outputs were like and how you set the levels. Should start a new thread if you have one though.

Emisar D3AA im saving for looks to be a nice light
I caution you not to buy a D3AA for use with Alkaline.

According to the charts from this review, the Maximum output is only 100 lumens. I tried an old but unused Alkaline that is at 1.27V in my D3AA and it only gave 8 lumens..

At 100 lumens, Alkaline performs OK, it will run for an hour in a D3AA, IF the battery is new.. It might work better at lower outputs, say 20 lumens and less, but I have no data to offer.

otoh, the D3AA works much better on Eneloop, it can do 150 lumens for 2 hours.

cool as a age i like low lumens when i hike at nbight in woods i go as low as i can but do like to have a burst of light if i hear a scary noise lol.

The D3AA is not very efficient below 10 lumens.

Zebralight is still King of runtime at low outputs, though I have no data for its AA performance in the latest model w 519a LED..

Sorry if being stupid I've been on the fence about ordering a ts10 because I have many multi emitter optic flashlights and recently been looking for more throw out my edc. Is this a real production run, did they come in single emitter options? Looks really nice put it that way I need one now
