Didn't know the Inka pen needed so much screwing!

Got a couple of inkas to replace my rather fat Cross Ion but didn't realize it's not that convenient to use! From the pics and writeups, I always assumed it was a simple pluck out, reverse, and plug back in to make it a full-sized pen.

But it actually requires unscrewing the split ring module, unscrewing the back of the pen module, screwing the pen module into where the split ring module formerly was, then placing the back of the pen module back where it was.

Way too many things going on. But I love the form factor of it; Guess I'll try it out for awhile :)

The Fisher 'bullet style' space pens are good as well - I have the one with a PDA stylus on one end and they are just pull the cap off and stick it on the back for a full size pen.

Just deciding whether to buy an Inka as well to try it out...

I was looking at the Fisher too... does it have a keyring attachment? If not, its a no-go for me either cuz I hang lotsa stuff off my keyring :D

I guess times when I want to write something short, I can survive just using the pen module to scribble whatever I need. If I need to write something longer (like filling up a form), I would probably have the time to 'convert' it. Still, it would be nice and intuitive to do a pluckout-plugback.

During the 'conversion', there's a chance you'll drop the endcap thingie in some deep, dark hole :(

I bought an Inka and I would say thumbs down, for the price I didn't think it was worth it. Ordered a extra refill, the one that came with the pen wouldn't write and the second one quit too after not that much writing so I wouldn't buy another one, I may sell the one I have.
