Differences between CS and DS LEDs?

I'm the very proud new owner of an Arc AAA standard.(5.5 lumens).
Does anyone know what the technical difference is between the Nicha CS LED in my Arc,and the Nicha DS LED in the Arc AAA Premium Edition?

Welcome. The DS is a newer led and uses improved phosphor and/or die technology to get more lumens out. There are some led experts here on CPF who might go into more detail but as I see it, leds are high tech semiconductor devices just like microprocessors. So it's like asking why this year's Athlon is faster than last year's. Smaller geometry, higher Ghz, etc., but pretty soon trying to understand the exact nature of the advances goes deep into the weeds. Basically it's just the familiar process of incremental technological advance.
