Diffuser lens?!

I have two of these lamps

mounted in these DIY Alu holders (old pic showing the original MR16 halogens) running off a 2.7ah/7.2v pack.

The light is good, but far too tight. Is there any sort of diffuser I can stick on one of them so it spreads the beam a bit more? It would have to be 50mm in Diameter.

FWIW I found a type of spiral notebook (Walgreens Pharmacy here in the US) that has a front cover which is an absolutely beautiful diffuser and easy to cut to size. I haven't used scotch tape, but I have read here that some use that for a quick fix. Good luck, maybe someone else can point you in a better direction.

I have not used one of those, but it appears to be a wide angle optic. If so it will give you a wide rectangle of light, not a diffused beam. Ther was a thread at one time about a diffuser material found by CPF member Fastcar...aha try this thread

Interesting. I'll try some tape for a laugh!!

All I want is either a (much) wider spot or a diffused beam.
