Dingo ate my headlamp!

Years ago I posted about a 16340 IMR that I damaged by shorting to a piece of metal inside a flashlight. I blamed it on a Dingo like in the famous Australian court case.

This time it's true. A dingo ate my headlamp. Well... at least she's part Dingo. Here's the prime suspect. Looks pretty guilty to me.

I present exhibits A, B, and C as evidence for the jury.

Dental records show there is only one member of this household that could've produced this damage, and she's half Cattle Dog. A real trouble making Dingo. I rest my case.

I modified this with some really nice hi-CRI, Yuji 5000K's, and was not happy to see it destroyed. I'll soon be posting a WTB for an Irix II headlamp... lol.

I've always wanted to mod my Irix II with some Yujis, but I'm not even sure where mine is. Best of luck to you finding a replacement.

Bonehead - Great suggestion. I planned on doing that since reading your reply so they could be unhappy together. However, Chief is mostly a loner, and really only "warms up" to Large Eyed Lux.

I may well take the Irix guts and transform them into some kind of SHTF light that can run alkies in parallel for a long runtime.

In other news, the bimbo dingo has since chewed a couple other things. I'm almost done removing anything tempting from out of snout's reach.

After seeing this, I dug my Iris out and swapped in some 3500k Yujis, Took about an hour but worth it. Now it's useable again.
