I wanted a diffuser for my MKII but couldnt find a place that sold one in the right size. The smallest I could find was surefire's 1" sized one but it was going to be too large for the Jetbeam.

I took a trip to Home Depot and found some great stuff to make one with.

the 2 main parts of the build are:
1. $0.16 1/2 PVC coupler
2. $2.19 Clear plastic window

other stuff that you may need if you dont have them are:
3. Something to trace (I used a 16mm Socket)
4. Something to cut the PVC (I used my dremel)
5. Something to glue the lense (I used Silicone Glue)
6. Something to fit the jet beam to the PVC (I used rubber tape)
7. Something to glue the rubber tape (I used Gorilla Glue)
8. Some paint for the PVC (I used Krylon Fusion [the textured grey color])

Here is a video walk though :

The reason for the diffuser is I wanted a quality, yet, small LED light so I can video tape with my Canon G7 (which takes amazing videos).

Other apps of this can me to create colored filters including an IR filter so that you could take pics or record videos with a long throw IR light = ]

... And yes I'm kicking myself for not getting the MKIIx I want it sooo bad.

Oh now that i did something for you maybe you guys can help me ^_^ how do you get the rubber clicky off of the jet beam... I feel like I am going to break it when I pull on it.

And Finally, Hey Everyone !
(hows that for a first post)

I have an old glowstick that I sanded the inside of that fit comfortably on my E0 head and another for the E1.
They work suprisingly well for all around diffuse light! With the E0 its a great glowstick replacement.

Great, so do we call you Benjamin, or Franklin :).

On a side note, the material used in glowsticks plus the diffusion effect gives a seemingly whiter output whith using Nichia CS or Rigel LEDs
Any brighter than the 0.5W LED's and the glowstick method is too bright for me, just becomes irritating :p
