I've carried mine every day since I picked it up at the Blade Show 2002. Got to meet Mr. & Mrs. Reeves, really nice people. It is a small Sebenza with a one of a kind design, dots and joining lines on a satin finish handle face.
Every day. Small (I thank Yekim for talking me out of large). Nothing special. I did get to meet Mr. and Mrs. Reeve also in Orlando. But not as myself. They refurbished mine. It lives up to it's name every day.
Nope - I've handled one - VERY nice knife, and I would actually consider carrying one, but I carry one of 2 customs 99% of the time. Either a DC Munroe "Chimera", or a Jeff Hall "small #2" that I had him make - LARGE 416 bolsters, with Amboyna Burl scales - the large plain bolsters is beacuse I had intended to send the knife to Tiz Pozzobon (www.engravingarts.com) to be engraved, but the budget for that went away between the time the knife was ordered, and I got it. (grumble). When the budget comes back, I'll put myself back on Tiz's list. The Hall is my "dress carry" knife
The Chimera (my EDC) is really a frame lock, even if it does have scales (sort of like one of the CR knifes - can't remember which one). Ti Body, Carbon Fibre scales on mine, and a Talonite blade
So, between them, I just have never felt the urge to buy a Sebenza - the money would go to engraving the Jeff Hall

I definately Sebeza. My large Stars and Stripes has been with me every day since I got it. I am actually waiting for it's little brother the small Stars and Stripes to arrive. The wait is killing me...
That said, I've recently become interested in the Scott Cook Lochsa. Scott worked for Chris and in the Lochsa product what I think is an evolution of the Sebenza.
I've had a "small" Lochsa on order since Scott introduced the Lochsa. It's been over a year, and I recently spoke with Scott who assured me that the small is still definately coming. WOO HOO!!!!
Hi,
Where's the best place to buy a small new syle Sebenza from that ships to the UK? The dealers here want £282.99 ($450) I think this rings of 'rip off Britain' again /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Even with 17.5% import duty a US version is way cheaper at
around $289 thats about £181 + 17.5% VAT = £212
Mark,
you might want to check some other knive forums like bladeforums.com . There are always helpful dealers around who might set you up with what you are looking for. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif In addition you could try to put a note up in the Buy/Sell/Trade forums informing people that you are looking for one-even though I cannont imagine there are a lot of people selling theirs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
Looks like anything over 3" blade is illegal to carry in the UK. But collecting and not carrying is O.K. Fixed blades are also illegal and that apparently includes lock knifes. This makes a Credit Card multitool illegal to carry as it has a fixed blade. It's a strange country I live in for laws!
Lots of reading to do. I thought I had got the flashlight bug bad. Let hope I don't need as many knifes /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif
