Hey CPF,

Why do or don't you store batteries in your flashlights? Feel free to leave experiences of batteries going :poof:.... Inside your flashlight!!

The only battery chemistries that I leave in my Mods are NiMH and LiFePO4. Truthfully the only chemistry type I trust to literally have next to my bed at night "loaded" are NiHM.

I leave batteries in almost everything, but i was just thinking about this question last night.

My EDC carry light (ultrafire a40) i need one in it all the time because i use it daily.

What i decided was to make some kind of battery case out of a flat fishing box and some spongy foam, and seperate each group of batteries, by which device they power. That way i can keep track of them, and know which ones need to be topped off with the chargers.

I keep batteries in everything and aside from a few leaked alkalines in old incan minimags or minimag knockoffs and one remote control I've never had any problems.
