hey all,

My story starts a few months ago when i saw those green lasers on ebay.ooo i just had to have one.. searching google what do i see cpf? wow lets go check it out..

Ignoring all the other forums i was into the lasers and bought a 20mw laser of abeland..

suddenly for some reason i thought id try the genral flashlights forum... big mistake..

Everything started to blank out for a while it was like one day i was here all normal.. then its like i got bitten by a bug.. 3 days later i bought my first flashlight a surefire M6. I thought well why not go all out.. but no it didnt stop there.. I kept hearing this voice in my head.. it was saying.. buy both buy both.. well might as well buy a surefire L7 and a limited arc aaa while im at it..

1000 buks later and suddenly i look on BST i want it all but im cashless for a couple of weeks..

Has anyone else had any of these problems

Next, you'll be spending thousands on machine tools and making your own. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Yeah, I have had that problem too. Not as bad as you though. I started out small. But after a year I had spent $3000 in lights, meters, glues and other chemicals, and all sorts of hardware and pipes and tubes from Home Depot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have found it helps to ask myself, what if this item loses interest for me. So, when I buy I consider how easy it would be to sell if I later change my mind. I once had a SF M3 plus KT4 TurboHead. But after a few months decided it wasn't exactly what I wanted. The cost for using it during this time was about equal to the postage -- not a high rental fee. Nonethess, I could have saved a lot of time and postage by buying the M6 early on.

I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one filling an entire workbench with support equipment, it's not just the darn lights, there's practically INFRASTRUCTURE being built to support them on the worktable... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Aussie, that does it, you are hopeless!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

welcome to the ranks of hooked flashacoholics...

There certainly is! It counsels you to spend more money /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin07.gif

Better not buy those two. You're buying into the entire Surefire Modular System, because once you get those two essential lights, you'll spend another $1K on add-ons for them!! Those are the two 'gateways' where it all begins...

You just need stregth of mind... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
(waiting for some lights here at the moment, almost no fingernails left... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif )

Hey mate. You're in trouble now. This 'ism is incurable. It only gets worst (or better /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif). Good to see yet another Gwandana-land member onboard.

I see that *SOMEBODY* has caught the "CPF bug". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Now, if only I could make and sell more than I buy... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
