Hi,
My other hobby consists of flying mainly electric powered model aircraft. For the battery charging I use a high quality digital charger. See this link http://at.robbe-online.net/cgi-bin/rims_at.storefront/3f09f3d60013cf8e27173e0dc121063c/UserTemplate/1/?ISID=3f09f3d60013cf8e27173e0dc121063c
This Robbe Infinity II is capable of multiple cell charging and discharging in full auto modes and in manual set current modes of both NiMh & NiCd. It will charge and discharge and analyse the cell capacity over 1 to 99 cycles. This and other similar products for the hobby market must be a good solution for many rechargable flashlight batteries. Not only do you get a good charge but you can also see if you battery packs are wearing out or faulty.
Any thoughts on this. I thought it might be too expensive, but given what many people spend on flashlights & batteries it may be worth it in the long run.
