Can't find any of these, not in Hawaii and especially not even in my recent travels (Las Vegas and Vail). Closest I found was the 1AAA 1-LED model in a Beaver Creek Wal-Mart, a single example of which I'm bringing home.

If someone would care to help me find one or three, I'd be much obliged.

Heading Home To Hawaii Tomorrow, kindly e-me there.

Thanks!

well.. this might seem to be a pain.. but i know you can get it thru their website.. you just have to contact them..

but maybe it'd be a better idea to have someone purchase a few for you and mail them over to save on shipping charges..

I don't think I've even seen a pic of the 1 AA Dorcy yet. I'll have to check at our new wal-mart, see if they have any.

(Mark_Larson, you have a wicked bad coffee stain on your wall.)

The Home Hardware stores in Berwick, Nova Scotia and Kentville, Nova Scotia have 1AA 3LEDs in stock at C$19.97 ea. Shipping from Canada might be a bit of a problem. If no one else can provide them, let me know. (Someone should give the marketing manager for Dorcy a few lessons) :duh: BTW, I LOVE my 1AA 3LED Dorcy. Arc: look out!!

For me, this is the single most anticipated light to come to market. I can't pass a Walmart without stopping by, in hopes of being one of the first to find them there.

MR Bulk
I looked at the Walmart near my home for you & myself. They don't have them yet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thank you kindly Hoghead and onelight. To sweeten the deal I will send back one completed 1W Luxeon mod (of hopefully extreme brightness if my plans for this light's innards prove correct) in exchange for ten of these, meaning I keep nine...

Timing of this offer is limited to the arrival of these in my own town, of course...

I would also be interested in a silver, or gold 1AA 3 led Dorcy.

sorry, dont mean to hyjack the thread.

EXTRA!
EXTRA!
READ ALL ABOUT IT!!

Hawaiian Mod-God put five watt LED on Dorcy 1AA lights!

Pockets are catching on fire - sunglass sales are way up...

I thought it was urine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I want one also,
The Dorcy AAA will use my red LS that I have laying around... the AA running three LEDs should be able to run an R2H at decent current. Hmmm, wonder if I could use a penny as a heatsink? I wonder if the AA would overdrive my red LS? Hmmmmm, need to buy both and find out!

Wamalart can't be the only place that sells Dorcy. I could have sworn Sears did as well. I will check when I'm in the mall tomorrow at lunch.

Heck, if I find 10, I'll FedEx 'em to ya.

Bad News, Good News, and maybe some OK news....

I've been to several WalMart's in my area. No luck. Not even the 1AAA Dorcy. They carry them, but the bins are
empty and I keep getting the answer, "...Not sure when we will get any in." However, they didn't have bins for the
1AA 3LED version. [Bad News]

I did drop by an Orchard Supply Hardware [OSH] store. They are a Calif chain. They had the 1AAA's & 2AA 4LED, but
no 1AA 3LED. So, there is hope. I have found a non-WalMart source for the Dorcy LEDs. [good news.]

The prices are significantly higher than WM's, $8.99 and $16.99 respectively. [at WM, the 1AAA is under $6]
Maybe someone else in Calif can scour their local OSH's and
hook MrBulk up. [maybe some OK news]

So have at it and hook up MrBulk!
Love to see the outcome of this mod!

I wouldn't be surprised if the AAA 1LED price goes up. When a product sells out that quickly, it usually indicates two things.

1 - You've got a product that people want.
2 - You can charge more and still sell them.

Hey, it's a free market (thank goodness).

That's one approach to business. Another is:

1 - Your product is selling at this price.
2 - You can order a lot more and expect to sell them, too.
