Been using it for quite awhile & the battery won't give up & die like a nice AAA should do. This thing is still putting out good light despite being in the red on my Radio Shack battery meter. I am very impressed!

It looks like it has a little aspheric on the front there, is that the case?

Yes, I have several of them. I'm trying to see if I have any runtime data on the flashlight, but I'm not finding any. I like to know how long a flashlight runs. Whether it just quits abruptly when the batteries get too low, or just starts slowing getting dimmer. Also how long after it starts getting dimmer until the light output is not usuable any more. I do these type of tests with alkaline, lithium, and NMH batteries. In a long drawn out situation, it seems the alkies outlast the others by a good margin in a battery vampire flashlight.

Thanks for the info! However, it is plenty bright as is for my uses. I use it mainly in the house so I won't trip over something. I have a Fenix E01 for outdoors use. The Fenix is blinding powerful for in house navigation.
