I received this Dorcy penlight at the recent Flahoholics Camping Weekend-6 at Hickory Run State Park. Thanks to one of the sponsors, Dorcy.. www.dorcy.com
This light is a AAA powered LED penlight approximately 5 1/2" long and 1/2" in daimeter with what appears to be an annodized surface in a silver color. It uses a reverse clicky and a "Super Bright LED".
The light came with two AAA batteries all enclosed in a cardboard and plastic blisterpack.
I do not generally carry a penlight preferring to use other lights attached to my belt, most with multiple level output. Despite this fact I have been carrying this light on and off for the past two weeks and have found it useful for varying light use activities around the house. This includes my (never-ending it seems) bathroom rennovations! I have used the light outside but did not find it quite as useful, being somewhat underpowered for walking after dark.
The light appears to be well-made and attractive and I found it to be reliable in it's functions. The price which was written on the front of the blisterpac was $6.99 and I'll assume that is a reasonable market price.
I liked the reliable performance, readily-available batteries (AAA), overall appearance and button tailswitch but, would consider it an even better light did it not function in a reverse-clickey manner. Overall, for the price and intended use however, a light worth considering!
