Are Led drivers suitable to hook up to a car battery (12-14v)?

If so which would you recommend

Have you looked at CPF member Torchboy's driver list? You still haven't stated how many emitters you want to drive, or at what current you wish to drive them so based on the information you've provided, two drivers come to mind: Hyperbuck or the Hyperboost from TaskLED. Maybe one of the two is what you're looking for.
