I only see the "Madmax Sandwich Module kit Q2-Wide Open" on the website.

How come?

I have not looked at the web site for some time. The last time I looked there must have been 5 or 6 different drop in 2AA modules to pick from.

I really like my "Madmax Plus Sandwich Module kit Q3" that I got in Nov. 2003

I use it everyday at work.

Will there be more MM+ Q3's coming soon?

I was going to order some more glass lens for the mini-mags and I thought maybe another sandwich, but there does not seem to be much to pick from anymore.

Please don't tell me he is going to stop making them.

pahl,

There is more in the works. Check back soon. I will be offering Madmax plus, lites, and some badboys very soon.

Currently as we speak the gating item is again the LEDs. I seem to vexed or hexed. I thought I had an order before going on vacation, only to find when I return the order was cancelled.

Sounds great!
I will be sure to check back.
I hope you had a good vacation.
Thanks for making my maglite useful.

Whatever happened to the R2H? Was there an R2H? I see a lot of ppl with R2H madmax mods, just wondering if I should still look for one, or settle on a Q2/Q3...

utomatoe,

the R2H was a one time buy. There are no more planned unless the Luxeon Goddess is kind to us and we happenstance to get more.

I would recommend a Lux3 over any standard 1W which the R2H was a 1W. The Lux3s are brighter and are all nearly white. The old bin code could yield major variations in the same batch, or reel.

Slaro,

I just had to PO to Future cancelled. I had T bins on order, but, now I'm being told that I can't order by bin code and that I can no longer order T's of any nature.

It's a long story and you can find more info in the group buy thread in the group buy section.

Thanks for the info. Can I use the same 1W recipe for a 3W emitter? I'm looking to grab a couple of sandwiches and modding some MiniMags I have lying around.

Also, why T bins? From the chart I have, it's ordered from S to X for flux, wouldn't T be at the lower end?

Lux III's are usualy S or T from what I have sceen, the S is about 67 lumens at max spec and ther T is up to 87...

Then again, maybe thats why my S bin looks so bright when I overdrive it. The J voltage Lux III seem like they would work better for a circuit made for Lux I's but I don't know much..

Im pretty impressed witht eh Sx1J's I picked up for $9 each, but im sure a TX1J or TWAJ or TWOJ would be some really really good emitters
