Dumb surefire question

Depends on the model. The newer E1's and E2's (not E1e or E2e) have the clip rivetted on. I carefully ground off the rivet on my E1 with a Dremel Moto-Tool. I had no need for the clip.

Give us a model and we can probably be of more help. Most of the clips are removeable, but some aren't. If an Ex doesn't have an obvious screw, then the rivet should be obvious. If the attachement is a mystery, it is probably the T-slot wich makes the clip easily removable. Whatchagot?

I just checked my E2 Executive and it has an allen head bolt holding the clip on. The M2 Millennium Centurion that my KL3 came with has no visible fasteners holding its clip on, so I honestly don't know how to remove & replace it.

the D3 and M2 clips attach the same way. craig: to remove it, remove the head of the M2 and the O-ring. place the body top down on a flat surface, and use a flat-head screwdriver inserted lengthwise into the bend of the clip and push down firmly. don't remove and install the clip too many times though, because that will cause the clip to become lose after a while.
