I recently acquired an interesting Duo Tint flashlight. I have no idea how old it is. It's barrel is divided into 3 sections, two of which hold 3 batteries and one which holds 1 battery, allowing for 1,3,4, or 7 batteries at once. The two 3 battery sections have rings for a strap. There is a rheostat in the head for adjusting the brightness. The reflector is glass coated with some type of metal which has detached. The tailcap has a holder for a spare lamp. Some of the instrucitons are taped around the barrel:

"
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid possible damage to the precision-build Dial Switch and contact strip, the head or lens ring should not be removed or re-assembled with batteries in the case.

Always use bottom end cap for loading and unloading batteries.

Turn on switch clockwise and do not force beyond full-on position. Turn off switch counter-clockwise; make sure switch handle crosses over metal hump for full-off position.
To avoid dulling or damaging the high lustre on the metalized reflector, do not wipe nor touch with fingers.

Here are some pics, NOT dialup-friendly...
