DX Buck Driver questions

This driver is the one in question.


The SS24 diode on this board is being ran over spec, so the first question that comes to mind is, are other components on this board being ran out of spec?


I'd like to solder some of these boards in parallel to drive an SST-90 to around 9A.
 
I dont know.

But the driver that is used in the single mode 3.7-18v drop in uses a SK34 Diode rated at 3 amps.
Ihave a few spare so will try swapping out the diode. By the way the drop in driver seems very unreliable. I get all sorts of outputs from them.

That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. Buying some SS34 diodes and replacing the SS24's. Maybe the driver will hold up okay after the weak link is replaced.
