E1 LA in E2?

Will an E1 lamp work correctly with the E2 reflector if I use a battery spacer (dummy battery)?

I just want to be sure the E1 lamp is not too long or too short for the E2 reflector, I would guess that the 2 bezels are the same.

It works great & IMHO is a better light as I think the E1 is too short to hold comfortably. The end of your hand gets in the way of the beam. TX
