Surefire E1B silver or a E2DL Defender?

Smaller, less output and runtime, bigger, more output and runtime.

Only you can decide that.

You not only have to consider the size runtime issues but should also muse which light will keep its finish better. As the new silver E1b hasn't hit the shops no one knows yet whether its HA or type 11? I understand that the silver is reported as HA but unless someone can confirm that I would wait until a review has been posted if keeping the finish is important to you?

If the extra size is acceptable, get the E2DL. Else, get the E1B.

Get both! :D

I did and are now able to choose. The E1B goes better together with a suit at work, the E2DL with my parka after work. Sometimes I'm a rebel and tear up my fake Armanis with the E2DL or embarrass my parka with the E1B ;)

Erm, can you give us anything else to go on? Like what size you prefer, how much light you need, how you'll be using it? Fairly important factors. They're two very different lights in many respects.
