E1e + KL4

Im sure I read on a thread that you could fit a KL4 head to an E1e body. I've tried to locate it again with no success.
Is it possible?
Or have I totally lost he plot?
Bear in mind guys this question is from a novice and if you get really technical I won't understand what the hell your trying to tell me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Fits fine. I've got a 3volt modded KL4 on my E1E body. I remember the thread you're referring to also, but don't have the link handy.

It works, but the 5W is even more underdriven than it is on 2 cells. It'll run at something in the 300-400mA range, IIRC. It makes for a very nice personal light.

The KL4 on an E1 body is highly subjective to the luxeon lottery. The parts will fit, but if you don't get a good bin of LuxV, then the brightness will actually be a little disappointing.

For the E series of SureFire lights, all the parts will mate, and the body that comes with the KL4 is essentially the E2 body.
