looking at a pic of the KL4 on an E2e, to me it looks much better than the hex bezel. i was wondering if the KL4 could be modified to take the MN assembly?

maybe we could get some sort of deal with members wanting to part out a KL4?

They are a huge step up from the KL1-3. I think the KL1 is FUGLY!

you got that right brother! if it could be modded to take the MNx bulb i would do it. i could try and sell the 5w to recover some of the loss.

i kinda like the E2e HA bezel. if anything, the KL4 looks a bit odd compared to the pic in the SF2003 catalogue. i still want one tho.
slighty off topic, how about a 5 wat LS in a KL3 head? that would be damn useful.

I don't see why they couldn't offer non-hex as an option. Any Hex head which was mangled in machining could be rescued as a non-hex one.

I hate thinking that any SF could be 25% cheaper with a less complicated outer design.

It seems that since the KL4~6 heads use HD LS's the reflectors might be slightly different to those using MN bulbs?

So it may not work unless you swap the reflectors as well.

When you see SureFire's turning centre you'll understand that their 11-axis machines can turn practically any part just as fast. I doubt the hex makes the slightest difference on the price since the machines are needed anyway.
