Hello,

I'm a newbie and I know there has been alot of threads regarding brightness of the e2e/kl1 combo, but I can't seem to find actual lux ratings. I've visited The Led Museum, Brock's site, and some others but no one has the lux rating. I just want this info so I can compare simiar torches that have been reviewed on various sites. I'm addicted to this new hobbie of mine and am investigating into my next purchase.

I currently own the e2e/kl1 and various other led lights and want to see how future torches will compare to my surefire ls.

Any info would be appreciated,

Thanks

There is no simple answer to your question. Surefire uses the most reliable measurement to rate thier lights. This is the lumen rating. The KL1 is ~17 lumens. There is no easy way to compare candlepower/lux ratings. Brocks site is as good as it will get. His light meter reads 255 with the KL1 pointed at it, which is brighter than anything else on his LED chart. Here is his runtime test on the KL1.

Read this topic. Hopefully it will help make sense of what I'm saying.
