This light was provided by FlashlightsNGear.com for review, you can buy it at their site here.

A bit of background:
The eagletac P100C2 was first introduced on 2/16/09 in this thread here.
Because eagletac was still a relatively new company at the time, this particular light didn't get as much coverage by the users of CPF, thus, this background information is shorter than normal... (well, compared to the barbolight's history which took a while to reasearch.)

here is the light:

More eagletac nice packaging. Easy to read information about the light, too.

The stock light includes the light, instruction manual, lanyard ring, orings, and the warranty card.

A view of the light itself: nice and easy to grip knurling

note how small the P100C2 is compared to the other 18650/123A lights available

White Wall Shots:
note how smooth the transition from hotspot to flood is

Impressions
The "P" in the Eagletac P100C2 means personal..and is deserves that naming. Personal as in great for ordinary use, and very good for EDC. I see this light as similar in size and ergonomics to the malkoff MD2 host, except knurled more and skinnier.
This light has no clip, but a lanyard ring. I feel it falls short here, and the ring is too big, and shifts around, making noises. Attaching a lanyard to the ring would be a bit too awkward to use for me, personally. The bezel is not as intensely spiked as some other lights, making it less likely to wear holes in your pocket... though not SS like other eagletac flashlights.
The Eagletac P100C2 uses a Cree XP-E LED.. a very good choice as they have driven it with very good results.
The UI is very very easy to use. Tighten for turbo, loosen for low.the modes are well spaced and useful.
I normally do not mention pricing in reviews, as pricing most of the time varies widely, but I'll have to comment that this is one of the most affordable lights you can get of this caliber with such a high quality beam and output. Although, accessories are a bit more lacking than other of eagletac's products.

All in all, this is a great light for someone that wants a simple high/low on/off light with no other fancy features. If need be, a great backup light, or even a sole EDC.

Really nice! A useful review, I have this light and learned by reading your review. Thanks!

I see you didn't bother photographing the lanyard ring attachment... that's the only flaw with the light as far as I'm concerned.

(Congratulations, your emitter is perfectly centered.)

Great review Craig, I EDC one of these more than anything lately. It fits good in your jeans pocket or in the holster (kit version) you hardly know its their. It has a nice bright light and a good all around low or medium I call it lol, for the price its hard to beat and is perfect for those beginner flashoholics. I sure wish I could take photos as good as yours :)

Anyone know how soon the neutral-white version will hit the market?

Just snagged one of these from the 4-7 sale. for $26 I couldn't resist. Heck I was looking at DX lights in the $22 price range.... I think this is a much nicer alternative. Halloween is right around the corner.

Anyone know how well it runs off a 17670 cell?
:twothumbs

I like the P100C2 except mine had some QC issues. The problems are the slightly off-centered LED which makes the corona uneven with a small hole in the spot and there is a small amount of dust in the head. I've been EDCing it in my pockets for a while. The output and runtime are better than some more expensive similar lights and can't be beaten by anything cheaper.

sorry to hear about your centered emitter. from what I read, that seems to be common, and I got lucky.
...though now that I take a close look at it.. the corona is ever so slightly off.

oh well.
