Hello Eric,

You can get the P20C2 MKII drop-ins at Illumination Gear. Here's the link for the PC20C2 MKII: http://www.illuminationgear.com/14322/26950.html. He offers the cool or neutral versions with LOP reflectors for $23.99 each.

If necessary, call Tod at (321) 252-8187 in Florida for more information. Tod has been a wealth of education for a newbie like me and I appreciate his willingness to take the time to discuss any topic you might have. I'm sure their are many great retailers who are helpful, but I just stumbled upon Tod one day while searching the web and have come to rely on his expertise.

Although I am a newbie to both CPF posting and to high-tech flashlights, my research indicated that EagleTac offered great products at reasonable prices. I currently have the TC20C2 MKII with the XPG-R5 w/ LOP relector and absolutely love it. However, I plan on ordering the newer R2 drop-in to increase the throw(lux) by nearly double (according to "Selfbuilt's" incredible reviews) and also order the 4Sevens Maelstrom G5 for comparison.

Since the TC20C2 MKII and G5 are so similar in form, style and function, the lesser lux model will be returned if lux turns out to be a significant factor. If lux does not help me choose, other factors will have to help me decide. Sorry for the excess rambling!

I hope this information helps!

All the best,
John C

I'm glad I could help Eric. Tod at Illlumination Gear will do right by you!

Curiously, why did you go with the neutral drop-in for the P20? Was it for increased color rendition even though you are going to be sacrificing some lumen & lux?

Also, I wanted to mention that if you plan on using this light with the included lanyard as I do with mine, you may want to consider the "tactical tail stand" accessory for $10.99, instead of using the rubber tail stand that comes with the P20 kit. This will provide a point of attachment for the lanyard, making the light tail-standable, and also making it easier to holster the light into a Nite-Ize Stretch Lite Holster w/ 360 degree rotation http://www.batteryjunction.com/lhs-03.html, while attached to your belt. This is the only holster I use so that I can position my lights horizontally on my hip and facing forward to make your light hands-free!

Eric,

I almost forgot to ask, is your low lumen level found in with the "hidden" modes instead of being in with the general and high modes like my T20 is set-up?

I'm considering the P20 as an EDC light even though it's 5 inches long, which is no big deal! Thanks!

John

The low lumen is found in the hidden mode it's a great flashlight I love it for the size. I bought the neutral module just to have some choices since the only other modules for that light are avalable in the uk right now I'll just wait till there released in the US

Eric,

Did your T20 come with the XPG-R5 and LOP (light orange peel) relector? That was the default option I received (8/2010) from Tod at Illumination Gear which provides more lumens and lux than the Q4 neutral led that you ordered.

However, an XRE-R2 emitter with LOP reflector is also available from Tod and is the one I am adding to my T20 to produce around 14K lux vs. 9K lux for the XPG-R5 w/ LOP that I currently have.

So if greater throw (14K lux) with a nice beam pattern (w/ LOP reflector) is of interest to you, as it is to me, Tod has it available right now at Illumination Gear.

I hope this info helps!

John

Eric,

Please disregard the prevoius post, I forgot that you have the P20, not T20. Sorry for wasting your time!
