Does anyone know if it would be possible to modify an existing EagleTac T20C2 mkII drop in like the ones they sell and replace the emitter with an SST-50 ?

I imagine the only things that would be salvageable would be the reflector, drop in shell and spring. Other than those things, I have no idea where to start looking.

The drop-ins EagleTac sells for the T20C2 mkII are specific to that model. To avoid custom machining I was hoping at least the outer shell, spring and reflector could be used. Not sure what kind of board would fit the shell to drive the emitter though.

If they can't then I'll just forget the idea, the light isn't worth the kind of investment custom machining would involve.

Thoughts, suggestions ?

What single mode drive would work with an SST-50 running 2x CR123 ?
Regulated preferred, I don't yet know enough to ask more informed questions.
