EDC flashlight

Hi everyone!.....I'm new here to this forum and have a flashlight question for you....
Currently I have been carrying a Maglight Solitaire for my EDC light, but would like to move up some.
It's served me well, but it's not always reliable for some reason. When I turn it on, it'll stay lit for a
few seconds, but then go out. I then have to re-twist it it tap it with my free hand and then it'll start
back up again. I have a warranty service center close by, but even after repair it still does the same thing.
It really is a nice tiny and reasonably bright EDC flashlight, but I want a light that is more reliable
when I use it. Anything else in that same size range and possibly use AAA batteries?

Throw the tiny mag in the bin,they are absolute total rubbish and better can be had free in a xmas cracker.Any of these will do for a key chain light.

There are plenty of hot contenders from other makers and you need spend no more than a few $$dollars.

Pop in to any decent store and pick up the little Energizer key light for next to nothing and that would be way better than that dreadful mag thing you have.

If you want to stick with mag, there are LED versions out now...my IncanIncan solitaire has survived multiple wash cycles in an agitator washing machine with no ingress or loss of function, but I canno say the same for my thrunite TiS or fenix e01..

Ooooh... ouch.... but true.

I'm not a maglight basher, as I have had them and used them for years. The truth is, that the old incan solitair can not compare to the modern LED lights.

Pretty much every decent light manufacturer carries an AAA light that will outperform that little mag.
Just scroll though the titles of the recommend me light section of the forums, and look for threads for AAA lights.

Thanks for all your help! I think I'm going to order the Fenix E05 2014 for my EDC light.

One thing to know, there are a lot of great lights out now, many sizes, batteries, power levels, etc, just makes it hard to choose. A good place to start is some reviews to learn about the lights.
the CPF user Selfbuilt has an extensive library of reviews, it's an incredible resource.
