Yeah , to the naked eye it's clean ! But under high magnification it's rough as guts .
Yeah , I needs a higher resolution camera !

I think , 1500 grit Diamond . If memory serves . ( Very sharp )
 


Two knives never sharpened on Wet N Dry sanding paper ( 800 / 1200 grit ) ( Hand sharpening )
Looks like a cleaner edge ..

I do have that Japanese wet stone ( 1000 grit ) .. Hmmmm ...
 
Diamond is always going to RIP steel ..
The wet N dry sand paper gets smooth quickly with use ..
The wet N dry was used on two knives previously only sharpened with diamond . ( All my knives were sharpened with diamond or the whetstone grinder )
It would need a lot of sharpening to remove the diamond grooves , wet N dry is ...... It works on bevels that are in good condition .
I would not want to wet N dry a well abused edge .

I might have to try again in a more controlled fashion = 1 knife .
